The Flourish Center Somatic

Trauma-Informed Massage Therapy

Restore balance. Release tension. Reconnect with your body.

Trauma-Informed Massage Therapy
with Lindsay Wheeler

At The Flourish Center for Somatic Healing, we believe healing happens when the body feels safe enough to soften, breathe, and reconnect with its natural capacity for regulation. Our nervous-system-informed and trauma-informed massage therapy combines therapeutic bodywork with an understanding of how stress, trauma, and life experiences can affect the body and nervous system. This is not simply a massage — it is a collaborative healing experience.

A.

Personalized, Consent-Based Care

Every session is tailored to your unique needs and guided by clear communication, informed consent, and respect for your body’s cues. Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic pain, recovering from injury, managing stress, or looking to feel more at home in your body, your therapist works with you to create a session that feels supportive, restorative, and empowering. You’re welcome to ask questions, request changes, or pause at any time.

B.

Nervous System Regulation

Unlike traditional massage, this approach recognizes that tension isn’t always something to “fix.” Sometimes the body has learned to hold patterns of protection in response to stress or overwhelm. Rather than forcing those patterns to change, we work with your nervous system — supporting relaxation, increasing body awareness, and allowing change to emerge naturally through therapeutic massage, myofascial techniques, gentle movement, and nervous-system-informed touch.

C.

Whole-Person Healing

We recognize that every body has a story. Our role is not to push your body to change, but to create the conditions where healing can unfold naturally. At Flourish, healing isn’t about fixing what is broken — it’s about creating the conditions for your body to remember its innate capacity for balance, resilience, and well-being.
